07 Feb Jade Keil
As a child, Jade Keil was inspired by her grandmother, who loved to sew and had the most amazing button collection. She originally started making button necklaces for family and used a few special buttons which held significance to her.
Jade is always intrigued about where the buttons have been before; what garment they were on and who handled them. She now has a range of earrings, brooches, bracelets and cards, as well as necklaces.
She has an eye for colour and loves sorting her finds into different shades. Wherever possible, jade uses old buttons and strips old electrical cables to string each necklace together. Each piece is unique and handcrafted with love from recycled materials.
