17 Jan Tom Lauck
With life long experience in making things and formal training in Industrial Design, Tom brings to his works the inspiration of mixing craft techniques with modern computer controlled production technologies.
Designs are modelled as 3D drawings and then components produced using his computer controlled router, 3D printers and with laser cutting processes. The visual forms are influenced by these production techniques and use styling where function dictates forms.
Tom produces his work under the brand Asembl. Current products include Hex Box jewellery holders and a unique range of furniture called Drape-it, specifically designed for people who manage their day to day clothes by draping them onto chairs, the end of the bed or use a floordrobe.
